Towpath Ten-Ten, June Race
Yes. There will be a volunteer at the Ten-Ten start areas with duct tape and markers. Put your name and bib number on your bag.
Bags will be available at the finish area. We are not responsible for lost items.

In each of the two Towpath Ten-Ten race lengths, there are special categories for Father/Son, Father/Daughter and Father/Mother teams.
Awards will be given to the top three finishing teams. One Father can run with both his son and daughter or two sons or two daughters, etc.

There are 6 aid stations along the course, in addition to the start and finish areas.
Portolets are placed at 9 locations, in addition to the start and finish areas.

Only Towpath Ten-Ten runners that complete the 10-mile course receive a Finisher’s medal.
Some good places to watch the Towpath Ten-Ten include-
Finish Line – located on West Canal Road. Park at Cinemark and cross street. Be mindful of runners on Towpath between 7 am – 8:00 am
Between the White Bridges that cross over Warner Road.
Near Bacci Park
Below Kreiger Canalway Center – Take I-77 to Grant Ave. Head west on Grant Ave. Turn left on E. 49th. Go approx. 1/2 mile and turn right into the Metroparks Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation. From the partking lot, walk down the hill to the trail.
Overview – roads close to start race – once runners pass through section, roads open again; West Canal Road between I-480 and Solid Waste District remains closed between 6:30 am – 10:30 am or once last runner finishes – could be 10:00 am.
Cloverleaf Rd – between Granger and West Canal Rd. 6:30 am – 7:15 am
West Canal Road – between I-480 and Solid Waste District 6:00 am – 10:30 am
West Canal Road – between Solid Waste & Old Rockside Road 6:30 am – 7:30 am
Old Rockside Road – between Canal and Commerce Park Oval 6:30 am – 7:30 am
Small connector roads between Canal and West Canal from I-480 to Old Rockside Rd – close with barricades and orange cones between 5:00 am – 10:30 am – Fosdick and West Canal
Overview – roads close to start race – once runners pass through section, roads open again; Old Rockside and its adjoining roads (Walker Oval and Commerce Park Oval) will be closed from 6:30 am – 7:30 am or when last runner comes through intersection. After, Old Rockside is open as is West Canal from Old Rockside to north of Solid Waste District.
Old Rockside Road – between Canal Road and Scenic Railroad Driveway – 6:30 am – 7:30 am
Overview – roads close to start race – once runners pass through section, roads open again; Canal Road between Warner and East 71 Street should open up quickly – Canal between East 71 and East 49 will take 20 minutes longer.
Canal Road – between Warner Road and East 71 Street – up to East 49 Street 6:30 am – 7:15 am
Canal Road – between East 71 Street and East 49 Street hill by Kurtz driveway 6:30 am – 7:30 am
Each Towpath Ten-Ten runner will get a short-sleeved tech tee.
Runners must register before May 27th to secure their tech tee size.
10-mile course finisher will receive finisher medals.
The Towpath Ten-Ten courses are all asphalt, no limestone
Yes. 10-Miler walkers will begin at 6:00 am. 10K walkers will begin at 6:30. Walkers must be finished by 10:00 am. We recommend walkers bring bottled water with them.
We ask walkers and runners not to walk/run two abreast to allow for passing and to avoid congestion on the course.
After the race, there is shuttle service from the Towpath Ten-Ten finish line to the after party at Quaker Steak & Lube, which is near the parking lots at Cinemark.
There is no shuttle service at the beginning of the Towpath Ten-Ten.
